universe city LIFE MANAGEMENT
AGENCY

A life management agency for ordinary people.

Life asks you to manage your time, health, home, work, money, records and future as though somebody taught you how they connect.

Universe City turns practical knowledge into guided missions, working tools, and a personal record that gets more useful the longer you keep it.

MISSION 01 · TIME
the problem
You were given advice.
You were not given a system.

The information already exists.

It is scattered across websites, offices, apps, family, workplaces, and whatever you have worked out for yourself.

Nobody is short on advice. What is missing is the part where it gets organised, applied, kept current, and connected to everything else. That work has always been yours to do alone, for free.

WHERE IT CURRENTLY LIVES

what you get

What a membership includes

Not a course, not a chatbot, not a calendar. A working system you keep using after the learning part is over.

01

Missions

Guided work that establishes one part of your life. One a month. You finish with something built, not something learned.

02

Tools

Every mission leaves a working system behind. A schedule. A record of what you own. The number your labour has to return.

03

Record

An account of your own life that gets more accurate as you update it. It belongs to you and it exports.

04

Decision support

Once several tools exist they answer questions together. Can my week take this. Is it worth what it pays. Does it break my own rules.

ONE RECORD · FOUR SYSTEMS · FORTY-EIGHT MISSIONS
the architecture

Four principles

Your life is not one thing, which is why working on it as one thing never holds. Each principle governs one area and contains twelve missions.

PRINCIPLE I

Personal Assessment

Understand the person operating the life.

MISSION 01
Time
Builds a schedule out of what actually happens, including getting ready, travel, and the hours after work where you are good for nothing. It becomes the thing you test every new commitment against.
See all twelve missions →
PRINCIPLE II

Housing Stability

Manage the physical conditions and materials required for stable living.

MISSION 01
Inventory
Builds a complete material record of what you actually have. Clothing, furniture, equipment, electronics, tools, everything a household runs on. What it costs to keep stocked comes later, once the record exists.
See all twelve missions →
PRINCIPLE III

Career Development

Understand and manage the value of your labour.

MISSION 01
Salary
Starts with what your life actually costs, built out of real parts. That number is the floor. Then it establishes what your labour has to return to clear it, weighing what you are paid against the unpaid hours around it, the full cost of showing up, and what the work is worth elsewhere. You can finish this mission with no job at all.
See all twelve missions →
PRINCIPLE IV

Life Management

Establish the rules used to make decisions and protect stability.

MISSION 01
Standards
Builds a written set of minimums you will not go below, dated and in your own words. Later decisions get checked against what you decided when you were thinking clearly.
See all twelve missions →
when the tools work together

You get an answer, not an opinion

Once you have built a few of these, a question you would normally guess at gets checked against records you made yourself.

SOMEBODY ASKS
Should I take this job?
Your schedule says

The shift is eight hours. With getting ready, the walk both ways, and the time after when you are useless, it is eleven. You have fourteen usable hours in a week. Three shifts would take thirty-three.

Your inventory says

You do not own non-slip shoes and you have one black shirt. About eighty dollars before the first shift, and you already own the bag and the water bottle.

Your number says

It pays nineteen an hour. Your life costs seventy-one a day. Three shifts a week clears that with about three hundred left over, but only at nineteen. At sixteen it does not clear.

Your standards say

In April you wrote that you would not work past ten at night. This shift ends at ten thirty, and the walk home is twenty minutes after that.

SO

Two shifts a week fits and pays. Three does not, and the closing time breaks a rule you set for yourself in April. Nobody told you what to do. You just stopped guessing.

begin

Begin with an accurate picture of your life

Everyone starts with Personal Assessment, Mission 01: Time.

The first session reconstructs one real day. About ten minutes. Free, and nothing is saved anywhere until you decide to keep it.

What you leave with

A schedule built from a real day, the number of hours you actually control, and the record kept for you if you want it. Yours whether you continue or not.

where everyone starts

Personal Assessment
comes first

Every other system depends on an accurate picture of the person running the life.

This is not a quiz that tells you what is wrong with you. It is the work of establishing a baseline you can use, in your own words, from where you are today.

Its first mission is Time, because everything else you might do costs hours, and almost nobody knows how many they actually have.

personal assessment · mission 01

Build your Time record
by living your day

You text Universe City in your own words as things happen. It turns those messages into a structured record you can see.

Textis the input. How this one mission gets updated.
Dashboardis the record. Where the structure appears.
Your scheduleis what it becomes, and what later decisions get tested against.

Texting is how Time is updated. It is not how all of Universe City works.

what you receive

A working schedule, not a report

Built from what happened rather than what you meant to do. It updates every time you tell it something, and it is yours whether you continue or not.

Where can I fit a date next week without wrecking the day after?
Ask
If I take this shift, what has to move? How early do I actually need to start getting ready? Can my week support a class on Tuesdays? IN DEVELOPMENT

The schedule, the record, and the hours you control work today. Asking your record questions is being built.

how it develops

It gets more accurate the longer you use it

Nothing here has to be done perfectly or all at once. A missed day is an empty row, not a broken streak.

DAY 1

One real day

Reconstruct yesterday. Not a typical week, an actual day you can remember.

WEEK 1

Repeatable timing

How long things really take you starts to appear. Getting ready. The commute. The recovery after.

WEEK 2

A working week

A schedule built on what your life actually requires rather than what you hoped it would.

ONGOING

Test commitments

New shift, new class, new person. You check it against a record instead of guessing.

LATER

Other systems

Time connects to what you own, what your work returns, and the standards you set.

why this exists

A blank university,
where life is the teacher

My mom died in 2016. She was the strongest pillar in our house, and losing her is how I found out how much of my life she had been helping me run.

Universe City is my attempt at that pillar. It is built deliberately without emotion, not because this is emotionless work, but because that is not what it is designed for.

Therapy is great for that. Case management is great for rock bottom. This is meant to be somewhere in between.

business model

Memberships are the only revenue.

There is no other product. Here is the whole model.

$12

One principle, per month

Curriculum and software with no person attached to it. Low cost to run, which is what pays for the company. Take one principle or take all four at twelve each.

$144

An agent, per month

This tier pays a person. One agent carries up to forty-eight clients, which produces about eighty-three thousand a year in revenue on that book.

12%

Off the top, to the trust

Taken out of every membership before anything else is paid. It is a separate nonprofit with separate books, explained below.

TWO RULES THAT DO NOT MOVE
  • 01Nobody we refer you to pays us. Universe City keeps a network of local businesses, clinics, attorneys, mechanics, landlords, and services that members need. None of them pay to be in it. They are listed on what members reported after being sent there. No fee, no commission, ever.
  • 02The books are published every quarter. Revenue, what each tier brings in, what the trust holds, what it funded, and what the founder is paid. In full, four times a year.
WHAT WE WILL NEVER DO
  • ×Sell your data, to anyone, ever
  • ×Run ads against your record
  • ×Take a commission for a referral
  • ×Show an employer anything about an individual
  • ×Charge you to leave with what you built
  • ×Hide what any of this costs to run
the trust

Twelve percent of every membership goes to a nonprofit

Taken out before any cost, wage, or payment to the founder. It does not sit inside the business, because it is not held by the business.

THE COMPANY

Universe City

A social enterprise, structured as an LLC. It runs the missions, the software, the memberships, and the agents. It is a for-profit company and it says so.

THE NONPROFIT · EST. MARCH 2023

Universe City Community Development Corporation

A 501(c)(3) community development corporation. A CDC is a nonprofit that exists to develop one specific place and the people living in it. CDCs build and hold housing, run community facilities, make grants, and fund local services. They are governed by residents of the area they serve rather than by outside donors.

What the trust can be used for

Funds are held by city. Money contributed by members in Denver is spent in Denver, on what Denver members vote for. Every vote and every disbursement is published, and the CDC keeps separate books so it can be audited apart from the company.

Grants to membersWritten directly to a member who needs one. A deposit, a car repair, a certification, a replacement document, a month of rent.
Third spacesRooms with a scanner, a printer, a kitchen, laundry, a quiet room, and a mailing address that does not change. Leased first, owned later.
Housing and schoolsThe long end of what a CDC does. Property acquired, held, and built for the people whose memberships funded it.
WHAT THE TRUST HOLDS AT SCALE
Members at $12 per principle500
Assumes an average of one and a half principles each, so $18 a month.

Each contributes $17.28 a month to the trust.

AT THIS SIZE

These are the real rates rather than projections. Twelve percent of membership revenue in a single city: $2.16 a month from a member taking one and a half principles, and $17.28 a month from a member with an agent.
